Amazon: Sr. Marketing Manager, Quantitative Insights, Private Brands Marketing

Join the Amazon Private Brands team to lead quantitative insights and research to help define new brands, product segments and customer segmentation strategies for our growing portfolio of brands exclusive for Amazon’s Customers. We create brands for products that span categories including consumer electronics, home, lawn and garden, sports, baby, and pet products and focus on delivering great value to customers across various Amazon programs.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical, and customer-obsessed Principal, Quantitative Insights who can think big and dive deep to lead research to inform brand and product positioning. The ideal candidate should be passionate about brands, customer preferences, have strong research skills as well as outstanding project management abilities. S/he should excel in both strategic thinking and analytical skills, as responsibilities range from brand naming to customer segmentation. The candidate should also feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working in a very entrepreneurial environment.
In this role, you will be in charge of:
- Brand Naming & Extensibility Studies for our existing and future brands
- Attitude and Usage research across our product categories
- Path to Purchase definition and research across our portfolio of brands
· Customer Segmentation Studies for brands and key categories
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years’ experience in quantitative research
- 5+ years’ experience leading customer research for nationally known brands
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or Master’s degree.
- Direct experience leading primary research studies across various methodologies: online quantitative surveys, focus groups, 1:1, ethnographies, online qualitative, mobile
- Ability to manage multiple projects – work prioritization, planning, and task delegation
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated success in cultivating strong working relationships and driving collaboration across multiple technical and business teams
- Experience within a consumer goods/retail company
