The newest generation of half-gallon Publix Premium Ice Cream spans five categories, with over 50 varieties offered year-round. The categories include Classic Ice Cream, Light Ice Cream, Homemade Style Ice Cream, No Sugar Added Light Ice Cream, and Frozen Yogurt. Each category is assigned its own lid color, photography style of the scoop, and custom background illustration. The background illustration style varies from category to category, and playfully depicts flavor cues for each individual variety.
