First Quality to Fight Childhood Poverty with Diaper Sales
Private Brand diaper manufacturer First Quality Consumer Products has agreed to donate a portion of proceeds from its Cuties diaper sales to support the national nonprofit Cradles to Crayons in its mission to provide essential items to children in need. With operations in Chicagoland, Greater Philadelphia, and Massachusetts, Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive. The organization engages volunteers to collect new and high-quality used children’s goods for distribution through their network of service partners and their innovative, online donation platform, Giving Factory Direct.
Imperfect Foods Extends Series D To $110M to Help Grow Private Brand
San Francisco, CA-based sustainable online grocer Imperfect Foods, announced its Series D commitment will total $110M, a $15M increase from the previously-announced January commitment of $95m. The Series D round now includes two new investors, private markets investment management firm Hamilton Lane and Blisce. Today, a non-profit ag & food tech incubator AgStart is announced that Raley’s, the family-owned regional grocery chain, will sponsor the Raley’s Food Lab at The Lab@AgStart incubator in Woodland, California. The Raley’s Food Lab will be a certified food facility where innovators can develop new food products, ingredients, and recipes for taste testing, sampling, and small-volume sales.
