British retailer Sainsbury’s clothing private brand Tu has launched a new range of reusable face coverings for adults and children looking for stylish but practical options to wear on public transport and in public spaces where social distancing is not possible.

Made from soft 100% cotton poplin to ensure comfortable wear, the double-layered reusable face coverings are fully machine washable and available in multi-packs including a variety of prints and plains.

The adult version features elastic ear straps to keep the product comfortably in place covering both nose and mouth. Designed to appeal to all tastes, adult prints range from bright florals, leopard print, and polka dots, to more muted options featuring geometric or striped patterns in plain shades of navy, khaki, and grey.

Suitable for age two and over, the children’s face coverings are specifically designed for little faces making them comfortable to wear. They also feature a popper design that pulls apart for quick and easy removal. Children’s designs include fun prints of unicorns, dinosaurs, rainbows, and stars, in pretty pastels or bright primary colors.

Emma Benjafield, Sainsbury’s Head of Product – Clothing, said: “With face coverings fast becoming an essential part of daily life, our new Tu range offers customers great value and stylish options that they can pick up easily when shopping in our stores or online. We’re also pleased to offer parents extra peace of mind with the popper fastening on our children’s design, which provides added safety and easy removal.”

The face coverings are priced at £10 for an adult three-pack, £15 for an adult five-pack, and £8 for a child three-pack.

Selected adult designs are available to buy in-store and online now, with additional adult and child packs available later this month. Customers can pick up the face coverings when shopping in selected Sainsbury’s supermarkets with Tu clothing concessions and in selected Sainsbury’s convenience stores.
