Loblaw Tests PC Chef Meal Kits

Canadian Private Brand retail trailblazer Loblaw is testing a President’s Choice private brand meal kit in 13 stores in the Toronto area and online.

The move comes as Canada’s largest grocery retailer is staffing up a new “meal solutions” division, which will service the entire Loblaw portfolio of retailer brands including Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart, and one No Frills location

The Loblaw’s PC Chef meal kits feature pre-measured — and in some cases, pre-prepared — ingredients and a recipe card. They’re advertised with the slogan “We’ve solved dinner so you don’t have to.”

Meals available online include:

Chicken Souvlaki Platter Meal Kit with Tzatziki & Tomato Salad (Serves 2)

Greek Halloumi Bowl, with orzo, roasted vegetables, and pickled

Paneer Tikka Masala with naan and sweet pea rice meal kit

Steamed Lemon Butter Salmon with leeks, green beans, and smashed potatoes meal kit1 ea

Oaxacan Pork Tacos Meal Kit with Mango Salsa and Smashed Avocado (Serves 2)
