Walmart Kicks Open Call 2023
Today, Walmart began accepting applications for its tenth annual Open Call event, inviting small business owners and entrepreneurs everywhere to apply for the opportunity to pitch their products to be sold on Walmart or Sam's Club shelves or on Walmart.com. Boxed and Prince & Spring To Be Auctioned
Assets of online warehouse retailer Boxed Inc., now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, are being auctioned off by intellectual property disposition and valuation firm Hilco Streambank. The suction will be held Monday, July 10. New York-based Hilco said assets for sale include the Boxed’s domain name, customer data, social media accounts, and related items as well as trademarks—including their Vertex Award-winning Prince & Spring private brand—plus. The deadline for bids closes July 6, and the process includes an opportunity for a “stalking horse” bidder. Jenny Longo Promoted to VP of Private Brands at Longo’s
Jenny Longo has been promoted to vice president, of private brands at Canadian grocer Longo’s. Her prior role was senior director of private brands, culinary innovation, and central kitchen. Longo has worked with the organization for close to 15 years. Longo's owns and operates 36 stores, most in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, including several smaller format "The Market by Longo's" stores in downtown and midtown Toronto.
