Equator Design has appointed of Kate Fischer to the role of Account Director. Kate is highly experienced with a strong creative and design management background and will be responsible for the strategic development of several key FMCG accounts. She will also be instrumental in the delivery of retail strategy, consumer behavior and sustainable packaging.
Originally from the US, Kate’s career is characterized by skills in leadership, commerciality and creativity. She holds a degree in Design Management from New York’s Pratt Institute, and spent the first chapter of her career working in art direction and graphic design for household names such as Macy’s and Avon. She later relocated to the UK, taking up roles at ASDA and Morrisons, where she was responsible for creative research, strategy development and design process management. This led to senior roles with Sun Branding Solutions and Parker Williams, where Kate spent four years as Senior Account Director. Most recently, she was Account Director at Equator parent company SGK.
Speaking of her new appointment, Kate comments, “I’m truly delighted to be joining the Equator Design team, particularly at a time when the industry is changing so rapidly. There are exciting but challenging times ahead – between the e-commerce explosion and brands exploring plastic-free solutions with the aim of building back better post-pandemic.
