Trader Joe’s Scent-sational Candle Contest

As evidenced by the overwhelming response to the 14th Annual TJ’s Customer Choice Awards, Trader Joe’s customers love putting the retailer’s products to a vote. As also evidenced by the overwhelming response to the 14th Annual TJ’s Customer Choice Awards, shoppers seasonal Scented Candles—this rotating lineup of luminaries took the “Favorite Household Product” title for the 4th year in a row.

This got Trader Joe’s thinking: if you love contests… and you love candles… then why not let you, customers, vote on which Scented Candle they would like to smell next? Customers are, after all, Trader Joe’s product experts, and the retailer trusts shoppers olfactory opinions implicitly.

Trader Joe’s has nominated five de-light-ful Candle candidates to choose from: tart & tangy Rhubarb, rich Warm Vanilla, sweet Gardenia, fresh Eucalyptus, and crisp White Tea. (If these scents sound familiar, it’s because they made their collective debut in last year’s TJ’s 12 Days of Scented Candles advent calendar—and shoppers loved them.)

The winners will be announced on Instagram, Monday, March 13^th — look for the winning candle to light up the aisles at your neighborhood Trader Joe’s sometime this summer.
