Now in its 11th year, the awards program was established by Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence (WISE), a nonprofit professional development organization, and trade magazine Store Brands. The deadline is Friday, August 11. Nominations may be submitted by using embedded form below.The awards celebrate contributions made by women from all areas of the North American store brands industry. WISE and Store Brands will present a total of 10 awards during the WISE Annual Meeting in November.

Here’s a look at the 2022 honorees.

WISE and Store Brands have established award categories that provide women from all disciplines with the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements. Managers, co-workers, peers, customers and other industry professionals are encouraged to nominate women in one of nine categories:

Emerging Leader:

Awarded to a woman who is new to store brands and in the early stages of her career (one to five years in store brands) and has already made a significant impact through their professional achievements and personal influence within her company, among colleagues, with customers or the industry. The award is open to all functional areas.

Lifetime Achievement:

This award recognizes a female leader who has spent the majority of her career (20+ years) in store brands and has “made her mark” through professional achievements, as well as personal contributions to her employer(s), colleagues, community, and the industry. The award is open to all functional areas and is based on accomplishments throughout her career.

DEI Company of the Year:

This award recognizes a company that has demonstrated sustained efforts toward advancing diversity, equity and inclusion across the workplace. This company has built successful DEI related programs, policies or initiatives that positively impacts the employees of the company and created, promoted and maintained diversity and inclusion by establishing an environment that recognizes, encourages and effectively utilizes each individual’s talents.

Functional Area Awards:

  • Innovation: Awarded to a woman who has made a significant impact to the store brands industry through the introduction of new products, packaging, technology, merchandising, programs, systems, or processes; that are distinguishable from all other options currently in place. The innovation should have an impact that has transformed or has the potential to transform the store brands success within their company, or with their company’s partners (vendors, customers, etc.).
  • Regulatory, Quality Assurance & Safety: Awarded to a woman who has made significant professional contributions to her company and / or the store brands industry through her accomplishments that serve to keep products, consumers or employees safe, encompassing not only product-related aspects, but could also be related to organizational processes, risk mitigation, employee engagement, and effective communication with consumers and regulatory bodies.
  • Supply Chain / Procurement: The nominee should have a strong track record of expertise and achievement within the Supply Chain in a store brands focused role. This includes areas such as supply chain management, procurement, cost optimization, demand / supply planning, transportation, or warehousing. Note: Nominee should come from an area of the Supply Chain other than Manufacturing Operations, which is captured under a separate award (Operations).
  • Operations: The nominee should have a strong track record of expertise and achievement in Manufacturing or Store Operations, with a focus on store brand excellence. From a Manufacturing company, this nominee should be a leader in Manufacturing Operations. From a Retailer, this nominee should be from the Store Operations team.
  • Sales: The Sales award is presented to an outstanding sales professional who demonstrates the importance of relationship building, sales strategy, product knowledge, effective communication, negotiation and continuous improvement in driving sales and profit growth in the store brands industry.
  • Marketing / Merchandising: This award recognizes a marketing or merchandising professional who made significant contributions that drove store brand sales and profit growth while engaging consumers.
  • Corporate Services: The Corporate Services award recognizes achievement in the functional areas of Finance, IT, Human Resources or Legal for an individual who has made significant contributions to their organization that supports the store brands industry.
